Viewfind Feature - From the Kingdom
Viewfind just published some of the most formative photography of my life.
Four years ago, I really started to use photography as my method for understanding the world. I was living in rural Cambodia at the time and working for the United States Peace Corps. I was in location far different from where I had spent my previous 22 years and was working to understand the people, the place, the culture, the history, and how I fit into all of this. The camera was a motivation for me and pushed me out into new situations constantly. It also was a tool that helped me focus on the details and nuances in the world around me.
These images were the beginning of my photographic career. I am so excited that Viewfind helped put together a story and a photo essay that showcases this work.
