The view from the car was shocking vibrant as I stared out the window as we carved down the narrow roads of rural Vermont. We were nearing Putney, a small town in the south east of the state, for orientation weekend for the National Geographic Student Expeditions trip leaders. Below are a handful of images that I made during the long weekend. The orientation was a wonderful experience and also was my first time to the northeastern part of USA.
A glimpse out of the building at the top of the Pinnacles Trail in Westminster, Vt. Hikers are able to stay in the cozy building for up to two nights, but must call to let administration know.
A reflection of other trip leaders at the top of the Pinnacles trail.
Looking out over Vermont.
Anna, left, and Gemina find their angles for some photographs as we walk around the pond at The Barn. Both of these fine people will be trip leaders with me in Yellowstone this July.
Chilling some wine for the evening meal.
An iPhone photograph from the Green Mountain Orchard. There was something so picturesque and simple about this shot.
